Dijon is the trade name of an Egyptian limestone. CIDG quarries the blocks in Egypt, then cuts, finishes and packs them before export. Every slab, tile and coping piece you order comes from that one source, which keeps colour and quality consistent across a project.
The base colour is a warm beige with golden undertones. Within that range the stone carries natural shading: lighter in one piece, deeper in the next. This is the main reason clients choose it over a manufactured tile. The floor reads as one surface, yet no two pieces match exactly.

Installation Guide for Dijon Limestone Paving
Installation decides how well any paving lasts. The steps below are general guidance; your installer should confirm the details for your site and local practice.
Base Preparation
Dig out to a firm, even level and lay a well-compacted sub-base. Build in a gentle fall away from buildings so water drains off. Driveways and high-traffic areas need a deeper base and 3 cm slabs.
Mortar vs Sand Installation
For permanent patios and terraces, a full wet bed of mortar under each slab is the usual method. Dry laying on compacted sand or fine grit can suit paths, or areas you may need to lift later. Ask your installer which suits your ground.
Laying & Jointing
Prime the back of each slab before setting it on the bed so it bonds fully. Keep the joints even and point them with a flexible, breathable compound made for natural stone. Rigid cement pointing can crack and hold moisture against the stone.
Drainage Considerations
Limestone is a natural, porous material, so water must be able to run off. Keep a steady fall across the paved area, fit channel drains where paving meets walls, and consider permeable jointing in wet spots.
Sealing & Protection
Once the bed has fully cured, apply a breathable impregnating sealer made for limestone. It helps resist staining without changing the look of the stone. Reapply as the sealer manufacturer recommends.

Maintenance & Weather Resistance
